A Modern Forest Mansion

The client wanted a modern-day mansion that echoed its rural setting, taking the concept of ‘glamping’ as a key point of departure: the traditional ridge tent was a major inspiration for the overall shape and feel of the building. The furniture and colours selected for this deeply personal home are rooted in Nordic traditions in terms of colour palette, materials and design. The combination of blackened iron, antique bricks (made of clay from the property, formerly the site of a brickworks), coarse woollen textiles, Danish design classics, leather and wood creates a relaxed ‘hygge’ atmosphere, making the lofty, spectacular space a place of perfect comfort.

A place for the spirit to soar.

This impressive newly built home, a modern-day mansion set in a woodland area, has strikingly sky-high ceilings.

Collaborating closely with the architects, RAVNS Arkitektur, Lulu was involved in every step of the design process right from the initial sketches to the house was handed over. After that, Lulu took over the project entirely, selecting furnishings, art and décor down to the smallest detail. The new forest house was thoroughly Lulufied.
