This small guest flat is part of a larger farm located in the deep countryside among the waving cornfields of Denmark.Lulu attended to every aspect of the renovation: doors, panels, wallpaper, kitchen, bath, colours, furniture, carpets, décor and art. The brief was to create a cosy flat in a modern country style. All with unwavering respect for the old building and while using some of the owner’s existing furniture. Cosy, subtly patterned floral wallpapers are offset by beautifully stringent studio shots by artist Tim Flachs. Gossamer curtains in cool blue-grey colours let in the light, evoking the feel of a Hammershøi painting. Lulu’s own climate-friendly and everlasting flower arrangements add to the atmosphere. Welcome to a romantic retreat set in the idyllic Danish countryside.
