Modern Manorial Style
Natural elements hold pride of place in the interior created for this beautiful old manor house. Lulu was given the task of transforming the venerable main building, which at the time featured stylistic elements from the 70s and 80s, into a simple, minimalist home with a Nordic flair. We wanted to create a home that respected the period details of the many beautiful old rooms, highlighting the appeal of their panelling, parquet floors, detailed doors and decorative mouldings – while also imbuing the spaces with an aesthetic that is cosy, warm, yet unabashedly modern.
The overall feel of this marvellous home is one of honest, natural simplicity. Understated luxury at its finest!
A mixture of a Nordic design ethic, Italian luxury and Danish Design classics
For this assignment, we carefully selected colours and textures that would fill the large rooms with warmth, cosiness and character. The mixture of a Nordic design ethic, Italian luxury and Danish Design classics combine to create a deeply personal, delightfully down-to-earth look.
The decorative accents are sourced from or inspired by nature. The many beautiful still lifes take on an intriguingly artistic air by being displayed under glass or in carefully curated arrangements.
